Bolivian Recipes: Tojorí

Tojorí is a traditional Bolivian hot drink made from ground Wilkaparu corn.

INGREDIENTS FOR TOJORÍ

  • 1 cup Tojorí (soaked ground Wilkaparu corn) overnight in some water 
  • 750 ml water
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 ml condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • Sugar to taste

PREPARATION OF TOJORÍ

  • 1. Soak the ground Wilkaparu corn in some water overnight.  
  • 2. Put all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil while stirring constantly until a thick mixture is formed.
  • 3. Taste and add more cinnamon and/or sugar if needed
  • 4. Fill into a glass container and serve. Enjoy as warm as possible.
