Locoto seeds from Bolivia for self-planting

Grow your own Locoto chili plants in your home garden.

If you want to plant the Locotos in Germany, we recommend autumn for sowing, so that the Locotos can be harvested the following summer. The Locoto plant does not tolerate frost.

Locoto is an important ingredient for the widely popular Llajhua, which is served with almost every meal in Bolivia.

Please note the following instructions.

1. Prepare the soil
2. Sow from November to February – and protect from frost
3. Fertilize monthly
4. Water regularly – and plenty of sun
5. Harvest from August to October

Locoto plants are perennial, please protect from frost.
