Bolivian Recipes: Maicillos

Maicillos are Bolivian snacks made from flour, butter, and eggs.

INGREDIENTS FOR MAICILLOS

  • 3 cups of flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 8 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

PREPARATION OF MAICILLOS

  • 1. Mix flour, baking powder, and butter in a bowl until a sandy mixture forms.
  • 2. Add sugar and eggs.
  • 3. Knead the dough until it no longer sticks to your hands.
  • 4. Form small balls and flatten them.
  • 5. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
